17 Jun, 2020

Now more than ever, we are super proud to be a number one NZ brand. Which is why we’re introducing KIWI KICKS, to celebrate all things uniquely Kiwi. Our culture, our fashion, our people and our of course, our incredible backyard!

From our Great Walks to our coastlines and scenery… our little corner of the world has so much to offer! Before you get stuck in and start exploring, make sure you’ve got the right footwear for the job.

Here are our number one ultimate Kiwi adventures, paired with the number one kicks you should take with you.

Embark on an Abel Tasman Adventure

Kayak, walk and gawk at the incredible beaches and wildlife of the Abel Tasman National Park. This winding coastal track takes you along the top of the South Island, with plenty of adventures to experience along the way. Most of which are water based, so it might pay to pack a pair of aqua socks for your exploring.

Conquer the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

The Tongariro Crossing is one of the most popular day hikes in the country, and rightly so… The Tongariro National Park boasts a beautiful, volcanic alpine landscape, with unbelievably vibrant lakes and springs. While it’s well worth the scenery, it’s also worth ensuring you have the right gear before setting out. It’s incredibly important to wear a good pair of hiking boots to tackle the terrain and the right clothing for the season.

Indulge in a Waiheke Wine Tour

Just 35 minutes by boat from Auckland’s City Centre, Waiheke is a hotspot in the Hauraki Gulf. Those visiting will no doubt be heading to (at least) one of Waiheke’s stunning vineyards, which have continued to grow in popularity since the island’s first vineyard in the ‘80s. Wine aside, Waiheke’s a great opportunity to get some wear out of that ‘special occasion’ dress or shirt. Might we suggest pairing it with the styles below.

Tour the beautiful Milford Sound

The Milford Sound is an international bucket list adventure, so make sure it’s on yours! Known for its natural beauties like Mitre Peak, rainforests, waterfalls and wildlife. Take a cruise to get a closer look at seal colonies, penguins, and if you’re lucky, dolphins! There’s a lot to see and explore in the Milford Sound, so make sure you’re prepared with a comfortable pair of sneakers.

We have only just scratched the surface of what this country of ours has to offer, but you’ve got to start somewhere! Start planning your ultimate Kiwi adventure with the ultimate pair of number one shoes. Share your snaps with us by tagging us in on social.
